L-Arginine and Citrulline are blended within a 4.2g mix of numerous ingredients including Caffeine and Beta-Alanine. Citrulline synthesizes into Arginine and Arginine is responsible for Nitric Oxide syntheses. Through blood vessel dilation Nitric Oxide promotes hyperemia.
It is hard to determine how much of these ingredients are present in this mixture. Arginine being the first 2 ingredients in the list can infer that there could be at least 2g of Arginine. At this dosage it might not be very effective but it’s unclear exactly how much is in the blend.
Energy, Skeletal Strength
Phosphorus works with the 192mg of Calcium in Power Fuel to regulate proper bone growth and to ensure a strong skeletal structure.
Phosphorus influences how the body uses and stores energy by aiding in synthesis of protein, carbohydrates, and fats. B Vitamin Complex is beneficial for energy production and phosphorus helps Vitamin B absorb in the body.
This mineral is effective at a dosage of 700mg/day so at 408mg per serving, the max serving size contains a beneficial amount of phosphorus.
B Vitamins help convert carbohydrates into energy.
- Vitamin B6 helps with produce of red blood cells and B12 absorption.
- Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) maintains proper brain functionality.
- Vitamin B12 supports adrenal functionality and maintains nerve health.
L-Taurine helps maintain functionality of the nervous system by increasing blood flow to the nerves. This amino acid aids in processing minerals found in Power Fuel like phosphorus and calcium.
Power Fuel contains a blend of different creatines in order to help absorption rates but these bonded ingredients have not been proven to aid in this way. At 1.5g for one serving and 3g for a max serving further creatine supplementation is recommended to bring the dosage up to 5g.
As muscle fatigue sets in the body’s pH levels decrease due to a build up in lactic acid, hydrogen ions, carbon dioxide. PH Buffers introduce a increase of pH to maintain the equal balance and reduce muscle fatigue.
- Disodium Phosphate acts as a buffer to maintain proper pH levels and also helps with cholesterol metabolism. Disodium Phosphate also helps the liver cleanse the body of toxins.
- Sodium Bicarbonate increases pH levels causing hydrogen ions that build up during stress to move out of the muscle cells.
Power Fuel would be most effective in healthy individuals that have the best chance to convert Arginine and Citrulline into Nitric Oxide. The combination of pH Buffers and Nitric Oxide producers allow for increased hyperemia throughout the workout.
It contains 120mg of caffeine so this low amount would be enough to wake you up but not enough to make you jittery or cause a massive energy spike.
